Buckeye, AZ, USA - 20/01/2009

Having been moved on from Luke AFB the first stop on our backup plan was at Buckeye, just a handful of miles off the road we'd be taking all the way to Yuma.

Driving down the road to the airport we could see this lovely Avenger (N7001C) sharing a sun-shelter with an equally lovely Texan (N8151). A gentleman working in the hangar adjoining gave us permission to take some pictures.

The only other aircraft that we could see of interest on the airfield were these two A-26 Invaders (A-26B N4819E and A-26C N126HP) and a C-1A Trader (N71456). They effectively 'guard' the airfield

Next stop Gila Bend .
