RAF Coningsby - 27th April 2005

With the prospect of excellent conditions a visit to Coningsby to take in the 2005 display authentication day simply had to be done.

Lee Hellwing, Sammy and myself arrived early doors and caught most of the arrivals (well, save for those who'd arrived the previous day).

The FJ&WOEU launched a few aircraft before the BBMF authentications started to kick off.

The afternoon didn't offer us quite as many dynamic images as we'd hoped for, so the majority of these, sadly are side-on landers... I suspect one of the crash gates down amongst the HAS site would've been the place to have been...

It was still relatively early at the conclusion of the displays so we elected to head off to Holbeach, where we hoped we'd catch some more of the A-10s strutting their stuff.
