RAF
Cottesmore - 11/12/2007
Spent
another cracking day at COT
today in the company of Michael
Hind and Nick (Slaps,
to those who know him ).
The
morning weather was superb,
if a tad fresh, but the afternoon
brought a big bank of cloud
that only started to clear
as the sun went down (I'd
take that every time, however!).
Our biggest hurdle to overcome
was the wind. The exhaust
gasses were being blown straight
at it and that was killing
a large proportion of shots
after the aircraft had passed
us.
A
couple of aircraft were sporting
Paveway II and "heavy"
combi fits, and a 41 Sqn jet
recovered carrying two Paveways.
Plenty
of activity to boot.

Thanks
to Nick and Mikey for their
company on what was an excellent
day.
