Kubinka AB , Russia - 4th September 2006

Our second full day in Russia was to see us visit Kubinka, home of the Swifts and the Russian Knights display teams.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, neither team was present during our visit, and rather frustratingly despite much negotiation by our Russian interpretor we were only permitted to get close to four of the huge number of aircraft present on the airfield in various stages of airworthiness.

What we did get was great, but the whole group was extremely downbeat about what we missed out on.

The afternoon would be spent at Moscow-Domodedovo airport.
