London-Luton - 7th December 2008

Having woken to find the forecast fog hadn't materialised and that the Beeb was showing Luton as being clear, it didn't take long to decide to head on over to catch the departure of the stunning Saudi Arabian Herc.

Activity was typical of the time of year - minimal - but the conditions were stunning.

.

Finally she was pushed back and each engine started in turn.

While she taxied a couple of other movements took place.

Then it was her turn. Unfortunately I had an "issue" with the barbed wire on the rotation shots, and so had to make do with these...

We hung around until 1100 and then called it a day.

If only the light was like that the whole year round...
