Nellis
AFB, NV, USA - 13th November
2006
Our
final full day at Nellis was
spent outside the base. In
the morning we shot the remaining
Aviation Nation departures
from Cheyenne.
This
was probably my most frustrating
day outside a base. Nellis
may be great for variety,
but the parallel runways mean
it can be a real gut-wrencher
at times!

It
was 1230 before any of the
based or detached aircraft
started flying, and with live
armed stuff HAVING to depart
over the desert, we didn't
get much joy.

Reluctantly
with the sun still on the
wrong side, we headed to the
speedway end. Please bear
in mind that most of these
are substantial crops because
of the sheer distance the
aircraft are away from you,
and therefore excuse any quality
issues.

Despite
the frustrations there were
still a few nice shots to
be had, particularly right
at the end of the day.
