RAF
Waddington - 18th March 2005
With
word out that Waddington would
be hosting four French Navy
Super Etendards for Ex Wycombe
Warrior, it seemed like a
good idea to head on over
to catch their arrival.
It
had been anticipated that
they'd arrive shortly after
lunch, but as things transpired
they didn't get there before
1500. Fortunately there were
a few other movements to provide
a distraction while we all
waited for them to appear.

Eventually
the support for the French
arrived in the shape of ET.062
CN235, and not long after
that was followed by the main
attractions - the fourship
from 17 Flotille at Landivisiau.

The
rumour was that a C160 would
also be visiting, but that
kept slipping and slipping.
The E-3D that had arrived
earlier departed again.

Doing
likewise was the CN235.

With
the light failing we elected
to call it a day.
